Different colored scarves

Mexican sombrero

Instructions

1. Beforehand, use a marker to color each clothespin a different color.
2. Cut construction paper into squares. You should have one square for each
color of clothespin.
3. Glue each square to the outside of the container. Put the clothespins into the
container.
4. Show the children how to open and close the clothespin. Next ask where
they think you should put the blue pin. It doesn't take long before the
children realize that the blue pin goes on the blue paper, and so on
5. Encourage the children to practice this activity. Even if they don't get the
colors right at first, they're using their small muscles.
