- Blindfolds or masks with eye holes covered
- Simple four-piece puzzles
- Large beads and string
- Paper and pencils
- Old car license plates
- Instruments
- 4" x 12" rectangular frames with 2" x 10" center cut out
Instructions
- Talk about the dark with the children. "What kinds of things can you do in the dark?" Ask if they are ever afraid of the dark. Reassure children and try to help them overcome any fears.
- Blindfold the children and encourage them to try the following activities:
* Assemble a puzzle.
* String beads.
* Draw a smiling face.
* Feel the raised letters and numbers on license plates and name them.
* Listen to instruments and name sounds. Point to where they are.
* Use the rectangular frame on top of a piece of paper as a guide to print their name.
