Magazine pictures of nourishing food and junk food

Paper bag or box2 posters, one with a happy tooth, one with sad tooth

Tape

Instructions

1. Talk about the foods that are good for our teeth, and about the foods that have too muchsugar and cause our teeth to decay. Put the magazine pictures in the bag or box.

2. Let each child draw a picture out of the bag and tape it to the correct tooth poster, the junkfood on the sad tooth and the nourishing food on the happy tooth.More to doSnack: Extend your happy-sad tooth discussion to the lunch table. Prepare a happy-tooth nourishingsnack to eat. Ask the children to help you prepare a list of happy-tooth snacks they likeand distribute the lists to their parents. Ask the children to brush their teeth after lunch.
