Materials

Instant pudding mix, vanilla and chocolate Milk

Cups Spoons

Napkins Wooden spoon

Instructions

1. Gather all materials and set them up on a table. Review cooking rules, such as clean hands, aprons, taking turns, etc.

2. Discuss the steps in making pudding. To which food group does it belong?3. Divide the class into groups and give each child a job. For example, two groups may prefer vanilla and two groups may want chocolate. Each child can have a job, such as pouring milk, measuring milk, opening the mix or placing ingredients in the bowl, and each child may use the electric mixer (supervised by the teacher). All of these activities should be guided by the teacher for best results.

5. Spoon the pudding into cups and serve with spoons and napkins.
