What makes you happy? How do you express happy? Do you bring happiness with you to work each day? Where do you find a sense of happiness in your daily routine? Perhaps, you may discover that true happiness is not in things but in moments. Moments when you have watched first steps, heard first words, felt a child grab your hand, or smelled the baby shampoo in the tousled morning hair of a toddler. Perhaps, you found it when you were present with just the right words in sharing a story about a child and you watched that parent smile.
In loving memory of Gryphon House author Leanne Grace, MEd, we are sharing pieces of her inspirational writing every Wednesday. Leanne was the director of professional development at Hildebrandt Learning Centers and a lifelong advocate for early childhood education. She inspired the early childhood community to prepare children as lifelong learners with her ability to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. One person can make a difference, and Leanne did just that. She will be sorely missed.
