Wednesday Word: Gratitude | Gryphon House

One way to begin each day is to reflect upon three things you are grateful for. This simple daily practice helps you to focus on the positive. As you walk into your center or classroom each day, what are you grateful for?

  • The opportunity to a part of children’s lives
  • Being a part of a teaching team
  • Being able to play with purpose
  • Feeling the wind and sunshine on your face outdoors
  • Opportunities to celebrate children’s growth and development
  • Being able to dance and move about with agility
  • Using all your senses to experience your environment

Challenge yourself daily to practice gratitude. Ask your coworkers what they are grateful for. Imagine the intentionality of gratitude energy when shared with others.

Leanne Grace | Gryphon House

In loving memory of Gryphon House author Leanne Grace, MEd, we are sharing pieces of her inspirational writing every Wednesday. Leanne was the director of professional development at Hildebrandt Learning Centers and a lifelong advocate for early childhood education.  She inspired the early childhood community to prepare children as lifelong learners with her ability to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. One person can make a difference, and Leanne did just that. She will be sorely missed.
