What to do
* March 17th is St. Patrick's Day.
1. Ahead of time spread newspaper on the tables and pour glue into shallow containers.
2. Give each child a tagboard shamrock shape. Show them how to paint one third of the shamrock with glue and cover it with overlapping tissue squares. Encourage them to cover the area well, leaving some squares hanging off the edges.
3. Repeat, painting glue and placing tissue squares on the other sections of the shamrock.
4. Have them paint glue over the entire shamrock to seal the squares. Allow to dry. More to do Have a Shamrock Day! Invite the children to wear green that day; serve grapes for a green snack.
Math: Collect pictures of items that come in threes or have three parts: tricycles, trios, triplets, triangles, and so on.
