Instructions
* Thanksgiving is celebrated the fourth Thursday of November.
- Cut out pictures of a variety of foods. Include foods that are typically eaten on Thanksgiving and foods that aren't usually eaten on Thanksgiving (such as hot dogs or watermelon). Glue felt to the back of each picture.
- Show the children the pictures of various foods.
- Divide the flannel board into "Thanksgiving" and "non-Thanksgiving" sections.
- Ask the children to decide which foods are eaten on Thanksgiving. Put the pictures on the appropriate side of the flannel board.

Do the activity using pictures of vegetables and fruits. Put fruit pictures on one side of the flannel board and vegetables on the other.
