What To Do
1. Gather the children together and talk with them about
firefighters. Ask the children if they have ever seen or
heard a fire truck in the street. Ask the children what
they think firefighters do.
2. Explain how firefighters help to keep the community
safe, and that the children should not be afraid of
firefighters, even when they are wearing their helmets
and other protective equipment.
3. Teach the children the following song.
