Instructions

1. Encourage children to do this activity independently, but offer help to those
who need it.
2. Using green, white, and black construction paper, make eyes. Glue the various
parts of the eye together.
3. Cut out a tongue from red construction paper.
4. Cut one paper plate in half.
5. Staple the edges of the plates together.
6. Paint the paper plates green.
7. When the paint dries, glue on the eyes and tongue. (It's fun to glue a plastic
or paper fly on the tip of the tongue.)
8. Show the children how to place their hands in the plates to make the mouth
open and close.

Five Little Speckled Frogs
Five Little Speckled Frogs
Sat on a great big log,
Eating some most delicious bugs.
Yum, yum.
One dove into the pool
Where it was nice and cool.
Now there are four green speckled frogs
Gulp, gulp.
(Repeat with four, then three, two, one, zero frogs.)
