Rebecca Olien discovered the playful approach to writing during her 20 years as a classroom teacher. When kids brought writing notebooks outside for recess, she knew she was on to something. She now is an instructional designer, curriculum and content writer, and education program developer at Southern Oregon University. She is the author of over 50 books for children and educators.
