Joan Rossano has been co-owner of a private preschool, director of a campus child development laboratory school, and instructor of early childhood education at a community college. She is now retired from the position of Administrative Coordinator at Alvin Community College. Joan and her fellow educators formed the professional association, Gulf Coast Association for the Education of Young Children, which continues to provide professional development for preschool educators. Joan served twice as president of the Gulf Coast Association for the Education of Young Children.
