Heather Johnson is a curriculum coordinator for a public school district serving nearly 15,000 children in the state of Oklahoma. She has an extensive background in early childhood working in both the private and public sectors of education. She has worked in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas to help early childhood centers become accredited ensuring all children in the early childhood field have access to high quality care. She received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University and her graduate degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. Heather is an active child advocate participating in local, state, and national events to promote the importance of early childhood and prevention of child abuse and maltreatment. Heather is also a grant writer seeking grants to benefit at risk children and teen parents. Heather has been awarded many grants and operated many programs that benefit young families and increase literacy skills and awareness in young families. Heather is married to Matt Johnson, a high school principal, and they have one daughter, Tatum.
