Brian Scott Smith is employed by Sandy Smith Seminars, Inc., in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He majored in kinesiology and health promotion at Lexington Community College in Lexington, Kentucky. Brian is a school volunteer, where he has prepared materials for helping children think about protecting our environment and was instrumental in the selection of children’s books and in new units on “Recycle, Reuse and Repurpose,” as well as the “Endangered Species” chapters. Brian also enjoys helping teachers find new resources on the web and has researched websites and materials for teachers to use with all eighteen of the themes or chapters in Story S-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-r-s for the Primary Grades: Activities to Expand Children’s Books, Revised Edition.
Brian Scott Smith is the father of Riley Marie and Bryson, and their grandmother is Shirley Raines.
