An educator since 1990, Angela Searcy, EdD has experience teaching at all levels of education including early childhood, middle and high school, undergraduate and graduate. She holds a BA in English and secondary education with teacher certification though the state of Illinois, a MS in early childhood development from the Erikson Institute with a specialization in infant studies, and a doctorate in education with a specialization in response to intervention and assessment. Her research focuses on brain-based learning assessed by the CLASS tool and correlations to aggressive behaviors, as well as the effectiveness of Push Past It! tools that focus on mindfulness and empathetic responses.
Angela is the founder and owner of Simple Solutions Educational Services, a professional-development company. A credentialed developmental therapist and former neurodevelopmental specialist, Angela has specialized training in neuroscience. She is an educational consultant, a credentialed infant and early childhood mental health consultant, an international speaker, a trainer, and an adjunct faculty member and seminar leader at the Erikson Institute.
Angela and her husband of are the proud parents of four children.
