ActivityWrite the numerals 0-10 on the sacks. Make numeral cards for each sack by writing the numerals shown in the chart on index cards. Stack each set of cards in front of the appropriate sack and placethe number of counters shown on the chart inside the sack. Invite children to draw a card, add the number of counters shown on the card to those in the sack and state the total number of counters.The number of counters in the sack will validate their answer. Encourage children to say a number sentence that explains what they've done. |
