- Find a quiet place where you and your baby can play together without interruption.
- Collect items that have a variety of textures. For example, collect foil, cotton balls, emery boards, corduroy, velvet, satin, wool, wax paper, and cork.
- Glue several items onto a large piece of cardboard.
- Place the baby's hand on each item and tell her what she is touching. Make comments like, "smooth," "nice," "soft," and "cool."
- This game is also excellent for language development.
